Catechetical Sunday -- September 20
Today the Church in the United States celebrates Catechetical Sunday, an opportunity to recognize, thank and commission those who have committed themselves to hand on the treasure of our Catholic faith to others. Parents who teach the faith in their homes, along with the priests, deacons, religious and lay women and men who teach the faith in parish religious education programs all do so in the name of the Church and with a spirit of great generosity and love. Hurricane and Wildfire relief…
This coming weekend, September 19th and 20th, there will be a second collection to assist in the recovery efforts for those suffering from the impact of Hurricane Laura and the wildfires in California and Oregon. There will be a second basket at both the baptistry and west transept entrance. If we all give a little, it can make a huge difference. Let us also pray for all those who are mourning during these times.

This coming Friday, September 11th, our Parish Council is hosting an evening of Praise and Worship beginning at 7:00 pm in Church. The evening will begin with music led by members of our 11 am Mass ensemble and we will offer a communal rosary for the end of the pandemic. We anticipate that the evening will be about an hour. Since seating is limited to 100, please use the sign-up tool on our website beginning Tuesday (September 8). We will be live-streaming for those at home. Blessings to all!
